A major change could soon be coming to the Newburgh landscape. Will it alter the way people shop? Wal-Mart wants to build a 174,000 square foot supercenter on the land at Hwy. 66 and Libbert Road. It is just a few miles east of Evansvilles east side, but much closer to thousands of potential customers who call Newburgh home. Lawyers for Wal-Mart will go before the Warrick County Planning and Zoning Commission on October 10th to present their plans for the project. Local shoppers we spoke with say a new Wal-Mart Supercenter will be convenient, but they dont think it will kill off smaller stores and groceries.
