Parents in Boonville take steps to protect their children from harm.
Hundreds showed up at Child Safety day on Saturday at the Coburn Ford Mercury dealership.
They were getting information that could safeguard children from predators and everyday dangers.
While many services were provided at the event, most parents were interested in the DNA LifePrint program.
The program is endorsed by "Americas Most Wanted" host John Walsh.
It includes biometric fingerprinting, a photograph, a DNA lifeprint kit, and a journal containing safety guidelines for kids.
Charlotte Lindsay is a mother of one and says she wants to take all necessary safety precautions.
She says she would never want anything to happen to her daughter but if it did she would want to do everything possible to get her back.
Also at the event were Firefighters teaching kids about fire safety.
They took kids through a trailer to demonstrate how to get out of a smoke filled home.
