The Vanderburgh County Assessor is asking two people in charge of township assessments to resign.
County Assessor Jonathan Weaver is asking Knight Township Assessor Al Folz and his Chief Deputy assessor Shirley Reeder to step down.
Weaver claims the two are not working efficiently to get assessments done.
He says among other things, theyve only completed 1500 of 4300 appeals filed in the office since March.
Weaver says this is a critical time because appeals need to be completed before November bills are mailed out.
Weaver says these are the only assessors hes considered asking for a resignation.
Calls to Folz were not returned Tuesday afternoon.
