A Newburgh man was in court Wednesday morning on charges he tried to lure children into a van near the Fall Festival.
Evansville police arrested 44 year old David Market about 9:30 Tuesday night after officers received a tip.
He allegedly invited the kids to go with him to his van outside the Pet Food Center to help him name a puppy.
At one point, he reportedly said he was a police officer and showed an unreadable piece of paper from his wallet.
Officers say they found Market urinating near his van.
