COX WAS NOT ONLY THE FIRST FEMALE COMMISSIONER, BUT THE FIRST FEMALE CLERK FOR THE COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT.
SHE HAD ALSO SERVED AS SECRETARY OF THE EVANSVILLE REPUBLICAN PARTY CENTRAL COMMITTEE.
COX IS SURVIVED BY HER HUSBAND EARL, THREE CHILDREN, AND THREE GRANDCHILDREN.
VISITATION IS TOMORROW FROM TWO UNTIL EIGHT AT PIERRE FUNERAL HOME, WITH SERVICES TUESDAY ALSO THERE AT TEN OCLOCK.
