They are a pain in your lawn mower, but Indiana's Department of Natural Resources might want those acorns sitting in your yard.
The Department's Division of Forestry is looking for acorns from certain oak species.
It's part of a program that distributes 4 million seedlings each year to Indiana residents for reforestation, wildlife enhancement, wind-break establishment and erosion control.
Here are the trees they're looking for, examples of their leaves and the price per good seed:
