Jasper police say the 49 year old was leaving a K-mart around 9 Friday morning when a young white male starting beating him up.
The victim had just filled his prescription of oxycontin and police say two suspects were after it.
Oxycontin is a prescription painkiller used for moderate to high pain relief.
This is a surveillance picture of one of the suspects.
He's described as white.. in his mid to late 20s, 6 feet tall with short light hair and an average build. He was wearing a gray hoodie and blue carpenter pants at the time. Police don't have a description for the second man.
They're also looking for this truck, a dark-colored, mid-1980's Ford pickup.
The word "Ford" is written in white lettering and the truck has different rims.
