No Murder Trial in Wayne County

A Wayne County man pleaded guilty to murder to avoid a jury trial. 31-year-old Ron Jelley of Geff, Illinois will spend 18 years behind bars. Police say jelley went to the victim, Gary Faver's.. house back in February and hit him in the head with a whiskey bottle.
Faver later died from his injuries.
Jelley's trial was supposed to start Monday.
