The F-3 tornado packing winds of 200 miles an hour first touched down in Smith Mills, Kentucky, then crossed the river and smashed into Ellis Park. But most of the death and destruction was done right there at the Eastbrook mobile home park where 20 people were killed. Five more would die in Warrick County before the 40 mile path of destruction ended when the tornado finally lifted just across the Spencer County line.
