Floats, scouts, politicians and marching bands could all be found this evening in Owensboros annual Christmas parade. The parade started at Ninth and Fredrika Streets and ended on Walnut. Fifth grader Will Sims got the parade rolling by blowing a gold plated whistle. The parade had two grand marshals, Maryanne Smith-Edge and Martha Clark. The women co-founded the local chapter of Impact One Hundred, an organization that raises money for charity.
This is 71st year for the parade which was called a time for peace.
