Deadly Mutant Cold Virus

The Centers For Disease Control And Prevention warn of a dangerous virus that has so far killed ten people. C.D.C. officials call it a mutated version of the common cold. So far, the illness has been reported in New York, Oregon, Washington, and Texas. Experts say the deaths are rare, but more than 140 other people have fallen sick. The C.D.C. calls the bug an adenovirus.Theres about 50 adenoviruses linked to human illness, including the cold, pneumonia, and bronchitis. The C.D.C. says its not clear whats making certain strains of it lethal. More about the virus appears in the C.D.C.s current "Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report."
