breaking news
Congressman Brad Ellsworth is at the U.S./Mexico border today, a place he says tri-staters are concerned about. Ellsworth is there to see first hand the infrastructure and operations that secure the border. Hes also watched and talked to the agents on the frontlines who do patrols day and night. Last night, Ellsworth says he saw one Mexican national with 30 thousand dollars of cash strapped on his body, on another, methamphetamines. Ellsworth says folks in the eighth district tell him illegal immigration is a priority, and that theyre sick of all the talk without any action. Ellsworth says agents are doing the best they can on the southern border, but they need more resources. Thats where hes hoping the Save Act can help. Save stands for the Secure American Through Verification and Enforcement Act, the bill Ellsworth is co-sponsoring.The Congressmans trip ends tomorrow. Well be following the progress of that legislation.
