Those flying, instead of driving, over the holidays are being warned, just like motorists.
The Transportation Security Administration has created a national public service awareness effort called "Simpli-fly".
Security officers see thousands of bags each day.
Now theyre asking people to pack their carry-on bags more neatly.
Theyre hoping this will minimize the number of bags theyll have to double screen.
By doing so, crowds will get through security much faster.
Mark Appler, the deputy of security at Evansville Regional Airport says, "Here in Evansville, weve been monitoring it and weve seen an increase in travel but we havent encountered any delays and or long passenger lines so right now were keeping up with the flow."
He says one way to pack carry-ons better is to tie-up any electronic cords and put any liquids within regulation in plastic baggies.
