Tis the season for giving, but be careful who may be receiving the gift.
Police say at least one church in Evansville wired money to a man who called them, claimed his car was broken down in Florida and that he needed money to get a bus ticket back to Evansville.
Pastor David Kelle from north hope church later called the number where the man claimed he was staying.
It turned out to be a convenience store in Kissimmee.
The clerk told the pastor the man gets money there all the time from churches.
So far no arrests have been made, but an investigation continues.
A pastor at a church in Oakland City said a man with the same story also called his church asking money be wired.
