GILBERT2007-12-03-1196741442.jpg Several Evansville teenage gang members are facing felony charges after police say they allegedly beat a man. One of those kids, 18 year old Donyel Gilbert faces a long list of charges. According to an Evansville police affidavit, officers were dispatched to Brentwood Drive and the Lloyd Expressway around 3 p.m. on Friday for a reported fight. When police arrived, they found victim Tony Mattingly, Jr. and transported him the hospital with life threatening injuries. Mattingly told police he and his cousin were visiting two girls and standing outside the girls' home when 10 to 15 people came around the corner of a building and starting yelling and kicking him. He told police the attackers took a digital camera, money, his cell phone and shoes. Police determined the suspects were members of a Harrison High school gang known as the East Side G's.
