Wilkes Trial Update

Clark County Indiana jurors heard the first day of testimony in the death penalty case of Daniel Wilkes.
Hes accused of killing 38 year old Donna Claspell and her 2 daughters, 13 year old Avery Pike and 8 year old Sydne Claspell. It happened in April 2006 at their west side home.
The main focus of Thursdays testimony was crime scene evidence, including some gruesome pictures of the victims.
Also, a man named Michael Baker took the stand, who was an original person of interest in the case.
He and Wilkes stayed with Donna Claspell on and off.
Wilkes defense attorney Barbara Williams says there are still so many unanswered questions about the case that someone else must be involved.
The prosecutor, Stan Levco, says Wilkes has a motive... that he was molesting 13 year old Avery.
Friday, the jury is expected to hear the entire 4 hour police interview Wilkes did with Vincennes police when he was picked up.
Then, on Monday, its the confession Wilkes gave to FOX 7 and other Evansville media.
