An auto accident in Henderson claims the life of an elderly woman.
Driver Sandra Cunningham was heading east on US 60 around 2:30 this morning, when a deer ran in front of her vehicle.
Cunningham swerved to miss the deer, causing her car to run off the road, strike a culvert and go airborne for about 50 feet, and overturn several times.
Cunningham and her passenger, 71-year old Shirley Gray were extricated from the vehicle and transported to Methodist Hospital.
Gray died a short time later.
The Henderson County Sheriffs Department is still investigating the accident
