Two people are being held in the Posey County Jail on accusations they ran three separate meth labs on a rural Mount Vernon property.
Matthew R. Curtis, 29, and Victoria L. Linford, 35, both of Mount Vernon, are charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of two or more precursors with intent to manufacture, possession of anhydrous ammonia with intent to manufacture, possession of methamphetamine and trespass.
According to a news release issued by the Posey County Sheriffs Office, deputies and Mount Vernon Police Department officers raided the property - 3931 Davis Road - Tuesday night and discovered the working labs in an abandoned trailer, inside the residence and in a garage.
Linford and Curtis were later located hiding in the attic of the garage, the release said.
The property where the labs were discovered belongs to a man who was already incarcerated at the Posey County Jail on unrelated charges. He reportedly had no knowledge that Linford and Curtis were running meth labs there.
The Posey County Narcotics Unit and the Indiana State Police dismantled the meth labs.
