Projects Get Federal Funding

Representative Brad Ellsworth is keeping his promise, helping local projects get federal funding.
     There are several programs on the list to receive the money.
$1 million will go to improve transportation infrastructure on the Ohio River.
USI is getting $750,000 for advanced manufacturing equipment.
$500,000 will go for a sanitary sewer system in Mt. Auburn.
$350,000 for construction of the University Parkway in Vanderburgh County and $350,000 to construct a perimeter roadway and improve safety for pedestrians and vehicles on the USI campus.
       This is part of the 2008 omnibus appropriations measure approved by both chambers this week.
