Of all the places to ring in the new year, the hospitals probably the last place youd choose. Last New Years Eve Nathan and Jill Martin were ringing in 2007 with friends. They never expected to be celebrating in the hospital, just one year later. Two months ago Nathan was struck by a semi on his way home from work. He suffered many injuries in the accident, including head trauma, causing Nathan to lose all memory of the accident. Jill has kept her husbands wedding ring around her neck since the accident. Its been a tough road, but she says Nathans been making great progress at St. Marys . They plan to watch the ball drop with their whole family. And hope to have Nathan home early 2008. Doctors say Nathans progress will most likely continue into the new year.
