Former Teacher Allegedly Used Drugs in Classroom

A former Owensboro teacher is charged with drug possession. It comes after allegations, he used cocaine in the classroom. Daniel Mattingly was recently terminated from College View Middle School following an investigation by school officials. The case came to light when several students told school officials they witnessed Mattingly use cocaine in the classroom closet. Teachers are not currently tested for drug use, but school officials are considering it. Mattingly was arrested Friday. He has since been released from jail.
