
An Evansville man was arrested for breaking into a woman's home Sunday night.
It happened around 8 o'clock at a home on north Sixth Avenue.
The homeowner told Evansville police a man had broken into her home, knocked her to the ground, and stole her wallet.
Police say Bryan K. Matthews, Jr. led officers on a foot chase. At one point, he allegedly pushed down an officer to run away.
He was arrested shortly after.
Police found nearly $250 in his pockets.
Matthews faces several charges, including burglary with injury, theft and resisting and battery of law enforcement.
