Pedestrian Hit and Killed on First Avenue

A 79 year old man is dead after trying to cross First Avenue. Police say it happened around 6:30 near Sheffield Drive. Oliver Guess was crossing the four lane road from west to east when an SUV nearly hit him. When that car swerved, a pickup truck hit and struck the man killing him. Police say he lived in the area. Police couldnt comment on the status of the drivers. An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday afternoon.
