A soldier from Fort Knox was killed in a roadside bombing in Afghanistan. Thats according to the Department of Defense. Twenty-five-year-old Sergeant James K. Healy of Hesperia, California, died January 7 at Jalalabad Airfield after his vehicle struck an improvised explosive device in Laghar Juy, military officials said.
Healy was assigned to the 703rd Explosive Ordnance Detachment at Fort Knox, located south of Louisville.
