150 Plan Trip To D.C. March For Life

Three charter buses depart Saturday bound for the March for Life in Washington, D.C.

Vanderburgh County Right to Life’s annual bus trip to attend the March for Life in Washington, D.C., will depart from the parking lot of Bethel Temple Community Church at 4400 Lincoln Avenue in Evansville at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, January 19th, 2008. Over one and thirty five hundred area pro-life supporters are participating in this year’s event. The March for Life is the nation’s largest annual pro-life event and coincides with the anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court’s Roe vs. Wade and Doe vs. Bolton decisions in 1973 that legalized abortion on demand. Over 47 million unborn children have been aborted in American since 1973. The March for Life will be held on Tuesday, January 22, past the U.S. Supreme Court building. Speakers and additional activities are also planned for the day. In addition to attending the March for Life, participants in the Vanderburgh County Right to Life bus trip will tour historic sites and will attend a special sanctity of life mass in Washington. Participants include persons from Vanderburgh, Posey, Gibson, Warrick, and Dubois counties. The Dubois county participants will be picked up at Wendy’s in Ferdinand, IN
