No Barrier for Lloyd Expressway

The Indiana Department of Transportation says it has no plans to put up a barrier on the Lloyd expressway near the site of an accident that killed 3 teenagers in December. The accident occurred December 3rd. Police say Ryan Blume, Jonathan Teer and Billy Beckham were riding in a car when it apparently hydroplaned on the wet pavement, crossed the median, and hit an oncoming car. The three Reitz High School students were killed in the accident. INDOT says the site meets all current safety standards and transportation officials do not plan any changes in the near future.
