Arthritis Foundation's Pool Tournament

8-BALL CLASSIC RETURNS The Arthritis Foundation of Southwest Indiana will be holding their 22nd Annual 8 – Ball Classic event this year at the Executive Inn in downtown Evansville. The hotel will be offering special rates to players in the 8 – Ball Classic. Please call the Executive Inn at (812) 424-8000 to inquire about room rates. The event will begin with the new Midnight Madness tournament on Thursday January 24th. This event will include a $500 cash prize and an entry fee of $20. The 8 – Ball Classic tournament, with double elimination, will begin on Friday January 25th with registration starting at 10:00am. Ending promptly at 4:00.p.m. The tournament will begin play at approximately 8:00 pm. The women will begin play on Saturday January 26th at 10:00am. The men will also resume play at this time. Entry fee is $60 for both men and women. Tournament t – shirts will also be available for purchase. Last year, this event drew players from outside the Tri – State area. Players from New York, Florida, Tennessee, and Chicago came to Evansville for this weekend tournament. As one of the biggest fundraisers for the Arthritis Foundation, the 8 – Ball Classic Tournament is sure to showcase great local and nationwide talent. The mission of the Arthritis Foundation is to improve lives through leadership in the prevention, control and cure of arthritis and related diseases. Arthritis affects 46 million American adults and is expected to affect 52.9 million by 2015 and 64.9 million by 2030. The Arthritis Foundation donates $.81 of every dollar raised back to research.
