More Than A Quarter-Million Glue Guns Recalled
(Washington, DC) -- About 253-thousand Chinese-made glue guns are being recalled by Dollar Tree Stores today after reports that the guns can short-circuit, causing them to smoke and catch fire.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission says there have been seven incidents involving the glue guns, including two injuries involving electrical shock and burns.
The "Crafters Square" hot melt mini glue guns were sold nationwide at Dollar Tree, Dollar Bill$, Dollar Express, Greenbacks, Only One $1 and Deal$ stores from February through August 2007.
Consumers are advised to stop using the guns and return them to the point of purchase for a full refund.
