Storm Damage From Confirmed Tornado
(Indianapolis) -- Strong storms in Indiana on Tuesday night produced at least one confirmed tornado.
The National Weather Service says that an F-1 twister touched down in Speedway, near Crawfordsville Road and I-465.
Survey teams estimate that wind speeds reached 105 miles an hour.
Other damage in central Indiana was caused by straight line winds.
It was the first January tornado in Indiana in eight years.
The storms brought a drastic change from mild to cold weather.
A winter storm watch takes effect Thursday night, with about six inches of snow possible.
