Two Burglaries Solved, Boy Friend and Girl Friend Arrested



Bicknell –Tuesday morning, January 22, Indiana State Police and Bicknell Police launched a criminal investigation after two apartments at Tilly Estates in Bicknell had been burglarized. During the investigation it was determined the two apartments were burglarized sometime between 11:30 pm. on January 21 and 8:35 a.m. on January 22. Early in the investigation, Bicknell Police Lieutenant Terry Stremming arrested Lydia N. Brown, 27, 7 Powell Street, Apt. B, Bicknell, for allegedly stealing cleaning supplies from the men’s restroom in the apartment complex office. After her arrest, additional evidence was obtained that linked her to the two apartment burglaries. Brown was arrested and taken to the Knox County Jail. Indiana State Police Detectives Loren Brooks, Tobias Odom and Bicknell Police Lieutenant Terry Stremming continued their investigation after receiving information that two people were responsible for the burglaries. Further evidence was later obtained and an arrest warrant was issued for Robert A. Dolkey, 27, of Bicknell. Police recovered numerous stolen items including prescription medication from Brown’s apartment. Thursday afternoon, January 31, at approximately 5:00 p.m., Indiana State Police Detectives Loren Brooks, Tobias Odom and Bicknell Police Lieutenant Stremming arrested Dolkey without incident at a residence in Bicknell. Dolkey and Brown are currently being held on bond at the Knox County Jail.
