breaking news
Many homeowners hit by the tornado are now salvaging whats left and counting the costs.
This is especially true in Gaslight Park community in central city where the tornado severely damaged and destroyed numerous homes.
But easing some of the pain for homeowners are those whove been on the ground, inside the community since day one.
They are State Farm insurance agents like Ralph Dillihay.
Hes part of a special disaster service thats helping homeowners in the community.
Dillihay is working from a mobile unit...using what his agency has learned through other disasters.
Part of which provided residents like Ronnie Gossett with an advance check to help with food and shelter.
Agent Dillihay says theyve given out checks from anywhere from 500 to 5000 dollars.
Saying that insurance claims for the 28 residents in the community will likely end up somewhere in the millions.
