Jury selection got underway Monday in the case of a Patoka mother charged with the murder of her own baby.
Vanessa Robinson faces charges of murder and neglect in the death of her newborn son.
Police say Robinson's baby was born last March and she wrapped the infant in a blanket and put him in a box in her basement.
Investigators found the baby after Robinson went to the hospital and doctors discovered she had recently given birth.
The murder charge carries a potential punishment of 45 to 55 years, while the neglect charge carries a punishment of 20 to 50 years.
