Hopkins County Kentucky remains in a state of emergency.
County officials made the declaration Tuesday and its likely it wont be lifted until Thursday.
The roads are still hazardous and thousands of Kentuckians are still without power .
Crews from Kenergy and Kentucky Utilities are working fast to get power back on.
Under the state of emergency, residents are urged to stay off the roads unless theyre going to work or having an emergency themselves.
If you need to seek shelter, there are several area churches that are open.
One was also set up on Tuesday at James Madison Middle School, 510 Brown Road in Madisonville.
