Evansvilles 163rd Field Artillery Unit is gearing up for a second tour in Iraq. The soldiers are stationed at Fort Stewart Georgia now getting prepared for deployment. And we were invited by the military to pay a visit.
Its as real as it gets before their boots hit desert sand in Iraq. Ft. Stewart Georgia is where Evansvilles 163rd train, day and night for one of the most dangerous jobs in the war. Convoy security will be their primary objective. And threats will be everywhere. Repetition is what Sgt. Scott Walker says will save lives on the battle field. Day after day they go through training like this. After a while reaction becomes second nature.
