As we first reported on AM Evansville, the NCAA has released allegations of five major recruiting violations against Kelvin Sampson and the Indiana Mens Basketball Team. The allegations stem from an investigation which revealed improper recruiting conduct by Sampson and two of his assistants. They stem from:
Inappropriate three way phone calls involving Sampson and his staff with recruits.
An impermissible amount of contact by Sampson and his staff during an NCAA probationary period.
Violation of ethical NCAA Conduct policies.
Illegal recruiting contact during a two day Sports Camp.
None of the current I-U players are believed to be in question. Its unlikely the Hoosiers will be banned from post season play, but Sampson could face further disciplinary action from the University. Stay with Fox 7 for new developments.
