It seems like we just cant catch a break with this winter weather. Thats what the people in western Kentucky are thinking today. They just thawed out from last weeks ice and snow storms that caused a state of emergency. So right now the people in Madisonville are just hoping for thunderstorms tonight. Rain would the best case scenario after another morning trying to get around on a sheet of ice. Oglesby with the EMA warns if the ice sticks around again and theres another issue with power outages, be safe if youre using kerosene heaters. The last thing anyone needs in a winter storm is a fire. But hopefully the temperatures will stay up and theyll only deal with rain, not ice.
