Will Hoosiers get a say in the primary presidential election? The democratic candidates say the upcoming March 4th primary in Texas and Ohio is do or die time. What does that mean for those of us in Indiana and also Kentucky who havent cast ballots? According to Bill Cristol we dont count. Cristol is a New York Times Columnist and FOX News Sunday panelist. He also has worked with the Reagan and Bush administration. Tonight hes speaking at USI about the presidential election. And Cristol thinks Indiana and Kentucky will mean little to this historic primary. By all accounts Mike Hucakbee cant get the Republican nomination for president, but hes not giving up. Hes kind of like voters in Indiana and Kentucky when it comes to this presidential primary. Theyre still interested in whats going on, but it could be all but over next Tuesday for Hilliary Clinton. "I think she has to win Texas and Ohio on Tuesday and Im doubtful she will," says Cristol. That means our votes in may mean little. "I gave the wrong answer. I should have said Indianas primary will be crucial." All joking aside Cristol says he thinks Obama will throw a knock out punch Tuesday in the states that count the most. Though Obama doesnt have the delegate count needed, look at the number of votes hes getting. "If you add up all the total votes Obama has a million more votes." And its unlikely the democrats will nominate someone who isnt getting those numbers. Of course its not over yet. "This has been a strange year Clinton might turn it around." Whether she does or not whoever gets the nod to go against John McCain it will make for an "impressive general election." And I guess for those of us here in Indiana and Kentucky and the 9 other states who vote after next Tuesday well just have to wait for that.
