Shooting at Bar in Mt. Vernon

There was also a shooting last night in Mount Vernon. Police arrested 29 year old Myron Cook from Memphis, Tennessee after he allegedly shot 43 year old Dennis Waters in the leg. Officers say Cook was in Waters' truck when he came out of the Peerless Too Tavern around 8 Thursday night. When Waters tried to get Cook out of his truck, Cook allegedly shot him and left. Police later caught up with Cook at 347 West 9th street. He was charged with battery and carrying a handgun without a license.
