One Tri-State organization held a candlelight memorial for AIDS awareness Sunday night.  The AIDS Resource Group hosted the International AIDS Candlelight Memorial at Saint Mary Catholic Church in Evansville.  The event featured performances by Evansville's Gina Moore and Whitney Nelson, the naming of the names for those who passed in the last year, and a candle lighting.  The keynote speaker was AIDS advocate and ARG employee Lisa Nelson.  This was one of more than 1,500 vigils around the world Sunday.  All fifty states had at least one vigil, along with 85 countries across the globe.
