Three Men Arrested in Connection with Rape

Three Pike County men were arrested on charges related to a rape in January. The 18 year old victim was invited to a house party in Petersburg, was provided alcohol and quickly became drunk. The Indiana State Police say 19 year old Kenny Gideon, Jr. of Spurgeon had sex with the girl, without her consent, two times. They arrested 23 year old Levi Beck of Petersburg after learning he was there during the crime, but allegedly didn't give any information to detectives. The third person arrested was 23 year old Kyle Schmett of Winslow. He's accused of taking nude photos of the victim after she passed out, destroying the photos and not reporting the rape. Schmett is also believed to be the person who gave the teenage girl the alcohol.
