Possible Lead in I-164 Crash

By: Michael C. Fehn
Updated: May 31, 2012
Evansville police say they may have a lead in a hit-and-run accident.

Authorities say they think the piece of wood that flew off a truck and injured two people on Saturday, came from Menards in Owensboro.

Tyler Norrenbrock and Jessica Whetstine were hit by the wood pallett while riding their motorcycle behind a truck on I-164.

Police say several calls have come in from people who say a maroon or red pick-up, loaded with pallets, was backing up on the shoulder of 164 around the time of the accident.

So far there are no suspects in the case.
