Consultants unveiled 11 options for preferred arena sites Wednesday, though no decision has been made on the fate of Roberts Stadium. Evansville Mayor Jonathan Weinzapfel began researching options to replace the aging basketball and concert venue on the city's east side after water began flowing in through the stadium floor. That was in 2005. In the years since, the city has hired a consultant, and appointed an advisory board to review options for either renovating or replacing the stadium. The options unveiled Wednesday night include eight sites downtown, one in Jacobsville, one in the parking lot of current Roberts Stadium, and one on the far east side. You can find a full listing of those sites, including the potential cost of purchasing them, by linking to the the mayors' web site . A public comment meeting is scheduled for April 1 at the Centre, starting at 5:30.
