Sculptors will be hard at work this weekend creating sculptures throughout an Evansville district. It's all a part of Sculpt Evansville.
Artwork will be installed around the Haynie's Corner Arts District. Wade Kramm of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is working on a 15 foot Craft Stick House on Adams St. Other sculptures will be installed in the arts district on Saturday. Kramm says his artwork pays tribute to a familiar childhood activity.
"I think also the scale shift will be hopefully alarming at first," said Kramm, "but also kind of playful and thoughtful."
Sculpt Evansville is part of Evansville and the University of Southern Indiana partnership to provide citizens a cultural celebration honoring the city's bicentennial.
