Henderson Co. Sheriff's Department Discovers Another Crop of Marijuana

By: Drew Gardner
Updated: June 6, 2012
The Henderson County Sheriff's Department discovered several marijuana plants in a wooded area Tuesday afternoon--along with items to grow the plants. The department has made several similar discoveries across the county in recent weeks. This time they were found in a wooded area in the 72-hundred block of Tillman-Bethel Road.

The plants were about 14-inches tall and were set out in 5 gallon buckets. Several bags of planting material, equipment and potting soil were also found. It's estimated the mature plants would be valued at 12-hundred dollars a piece.

Sheriff's deputies have discovered marijuana plants in several other locations throughout the county over the last 6 weeks.

If you have any information you are asked to contact the Sheriff's Office at 270-826-2713. Callers will remain anonymous.
