Sure, blood drives are a big part of the organization's purpose, however, officials want the public to know about their programs to educate, train, prepare, and respond to disasters.
The open house, which will be held from 2-6p.m. on Monday, June 11th, at the Boonville Red Cross Office, will provide information on disaster preparedness and to talk to community members about how they can become more involved in disaster response.
For more information about the open house, or to become a Disaster Action Team member, contact Jason Bradshaw at 812-306-7285.
