Reitz Put on Lockdown After Person Seen With Gun

A former Reitz High School student allegedly brought a gun onto the schools grounds Thursday afternoon.
A witness told the schools Liason Officer and a search for him was quickly underway.
The juveniles father was able to get to him first and get the shotgun away before police arrived.
Officers found him on Old Henderson Road early Thursday afternoon.
Its still not clear if the student, who is currently enrolled in an alternative school, intended to use the gun on other students, or himself.
School officials had also put all west side schools on lockdown as a safety precaution.
