Evansville Police arrest a teenager because she allegedly stabbed her mother. It happened in the 600 block of Chateau Dr. on the East side.

Evansville police say a 15-year-old girl was reported missing over the weekend. When police found the girl, they took her home to her mother. But when they left, police say the pair got into a fight over the daughter's Facebook account. That's when the teen allegedly turned violent.

"There was a dispute over some Facebook postings during that altercation," said Sergeant Jason Cullum. "The mom says that the daughter went and got a kitchen knife and stabbed her."

Police say the mother was stabbed at least 6 times but is now okay. The teen is at Youth Care Detention Center, where she faces a preliminary charge of battery causing serious injury.
