Marks' Fireworks in Owensboro expects to see a big boost in sales this year thanks to that new law. Store manager Kevin Kessler says there's a big change in the artillery the store chain carries in Kentucky. He says the most popular seller is the "Black Widow."

"It's the only true 60-gram shell in the world," said Kessler. "It's very exciting to be in Kentucky. The sales will be great this year, we hope. But more importantly we hope everyone gets a really good show."

Managers at stores all over Western Kentucky say they're cutting a lot of deals with people because customers are spending a lot more money this year.

If you prefer to attend a show, The Family Freedom Fireworks Fest. in Daviess County is July 3rd at 5:00 p.m. at Panther Creek Park. Owensboro's Freedom Fest is July 4th at English Park at 6:00 p.m.
