Gaps Seen In Life Expectancy By Education Level
(Washington, DC) -- People with a high school education are dying younger than those with a college degree.
Thats the finding of a new study by Harvard University researchers.
According to the study, from 1990 to 2000, life expectancy for people with at least some college education rose one-point-six years while it remained the same for less-educated folks.
In 2000, the high-school-educated group could be expected to live to 75 while those in the more-educated group could reach 82.
Harvard scientists say those with less education have more disadvantages that affect life expectancy.
