UPDATE:
Vectren wants to help low income customers make their homes more energy efficient. The company is teaming up with Energizing Indiana to provide the free home service. The program will weatherize more than 1,000 homes with light bulbs, faucets and insulation. Margaret Cooper is one of the program's first recipients. Cooper's home was a demonstration site where Vectren put the new system to work. The service is on a first come, first serve basis. All customers regardless of income can receive a free on-site home energy assessment through Energizing Indiana. The household's income is up to 200 percent of federal poverty guidelines. For a family of four, this percentage equates to a household income of about $46,000 or less. To apply for home weatherization or more information contact Energizing Indiana at 1-888-446-7750 or https://energizingindiana.com/programs/income-qualified-weatherization/
